Women’s Euros 22 squad reveal date, time & England’s preliminary side

Here’s everything you need to know about the England women’s squad announcement for Euro 2022.

After 35 goals in their last three games, the England women’s national team will go into Euro 2022 full of confidence.

The tournament is due to take place next month and the Lionnesses have the advantage of playing games in nine cities – Brighton & Hove, Leigh, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Rotherham, Sheffield and Southampton.

At the last edition in 2017, England were beaten by the Netherlands in the semi-finals and they will try to redeem themselves as one of the tournament favourites.

With the Euro Opener rapidly approaching, each team will soon have to submit their 23-man squad.

Here’s everything we know about England’s announcement…

When will England’s squad be announced?

England are set to announce their squad this afternoon (June 15) at 5pm.

Meanwhile, hot favorites Spain are set to announce their line-up on June 27th, while the side who beat England last time out, the Netherlands, will make the big announcement on May 31st.

Each nation has to submit their squad of 23 players by next Sunday (June 26).

Provisional squad

Sarina Wiegman announced her provisional squad for the Euros last month (17 May).

The squad included longtime absentees Steph Houghton and Fran Kirby, while Leah Williamson was named captain.

Meanwhile, Jordan Nobbs failed to make the cut after the Arsenal midfielder was sidelined for the summer with a knee injury.
