Anna Richardson is best known as the host of the controversial Channel 4 dating show Naked Attraction

dressing rooms was a fan-favorite do-it-yourself show that ran on the BBC from 1996 to 2004 – and was revived by Channel 4 in 2021.

Following in the footsteps of Carol Smillie, who hosted the show’s original run from 1996 to 2003, Anna Richardson appeared as presenter alongside co-host and designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen – albeit as dressing rooms is preparing to return for a second season, it will do so without Richardson.

Richardson is a producer, presenter and journalist with over 20 years’ experience in UK broadcasting.

She began her career as a journalist at Big breakfastChannel 4’s breakfast show.

From then on she appeared regularly in television shows such as Love Bites, Love Bites Back, Traumkarte, Des Res and Big displaywhere she interviewed a number of well-known Hollywood stars.

She has also hosted shows like Secret eaters, how not to grow old, super shoppers, how to retire at 40 and How to save a grand in 24 hours.

Richardson was a panelist on six episodes of ITV Permissive women In 2018 and 2019 she presented the Channel 4 documentary Thomas Cook: The rise and fall of Britain’s oldest travel agencywho investigated the collapse of the Thomas Cook group.

One of the programs she is best known for is the controversial Channel 4 dating show Naked Attractionwhich first started in 2016.

In addition to television work, Richardson has also published two diet books – wits about fatter and Summer Body Blitz Diet.

Are Anna Richardson and Sue Perkins still together?

Richardson and comedian and exGreat British Bake Off Presenter Sue Perkins has been in a relationship since 2014, having reportedly met at a Halloween party in 2013.

Anna told The Telegraph in 2015: “When I was invited to the party I was told Sue was going and I felt, what, a chill? A spark of interest? And I thought, “Hmm, that’s interesting”. Something was in the air.

“It was an extraordinary night. I danced on the table. It felt like a pivotal moment in my life.”

Sue herself commented on the meeting between the two future partners, saying: “There was something magical in the air, absolutely there.”

Unfortunately for the couple, however, their relationship ended in June 2021 after seven years together.

Speaking to The Mirror, Anna opened up about the difficult decision to betray, saying: “No one can ever prepare you for this. Even if it happens a few times in your life, you never quite get used to it.

“I guess I don’t know if you get more resilient as you get older, but heartbreak is definitely still the puzzle to solve and how to get over it and get stronger.”

Prior to his relationship with Perkins, Richardson was in an 18-year relationship with television producer Charles Martin.

Regarding her sexuality, Richardson told The Guardian in 2020: “I don’t identify as straight, lesbian, bisexual, bizarre, I’m just me, I happened to fall in love with a woman.”

Does Anna Richardson have tattoos?

The topic of Richardson’s tattoos surfaced last year when she revealed her ink during the premiere episode of the reboot dressing rooms on channel 4.

In the first episode of the reboot, Llewelyn-Bowen announced that a theme for one of the rooms to be renovated would be “Forever Peacocky”.

This prompted Richardson to reveal a peacock feather tattoo on her lower back.

Why isn’t Anna Richardson presenting Dressing Room Season 2?

Channel 4 has confirmed Richardson will not be returning for another season dressing roomsAt this point, however, the moderator has not provided an explanation as to why.

dressing rooms is instead led by designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, who appeared alongside Richardson in the first season. Jordan Cluroe, Russell Whitehead and Tibby Singh also return.

The crew is joined by two new interior designers, Micaela Sharp and Whinnie Williams.

Speaking about returning for another season, Llewelyn-Bowen said: “Like Arnie in The Terminator and Jack in The glowing dressing rooms is back, smashing the doors of the nation’s ‘meh’ interiors to let in the color and excitement of bold decor.

He added, “Having loved every minute of last year’s revival that coincided with it The Silver Jubilee of the Dressing RoomsI have some spectacular, even superhuman, transformations planned.

“This season, the world’s most iconic home show returns to its ensemble roots, with Whinnie Williams and Micaela Sharp adding their own distinctive design DNA to the established aesthetic gene pool of myself and Russell and Jordan, something viewers will be guaranteed in every episode will always be able to expect the unexpected.
