Jennifer Matter was arrested in 2003 after being accused of a heinous crime. The reports claim that the woman has been accused of killing infants. The entire incident took place in 1999 when a woman performed this horrifying killing of the infants and threw the body into the Missipissi River. One of the reputable media organizations confirmed that the infant’s body was discovered in Lake Pepin almost two decades ago. On behalf of the reports, some authentic information sources confirmed that she also killed an old woman along with the children. The case caught the attention of law enforcement and they launched a swift investigation into the 50-year-old affair, which had been taken into custody. She then pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the killing of a baby found on Methodist Campus Beach in Frontenac in December 2003. The investigation team further revealed that the second baby Matter murdered was discovered in the Lower Mississippi Boat Harbor near Red Wing Back in 1999.
However, she still has to serve out a number of further sentences for the charges imposed on the defendant on Monday. She later underwent some of the tests, including genetic genealogy and rapid DNA testing, to discover the identities of the babies killed by Matter. The information was released by Bureau of Crimina Apprehension Superintendent Drew Evans. He released a statement saying, “These kinds of scientific advances that can support investigations are happening all the time.”
The murder case of the two children remained unsolved for years. Goodhue County Sheriff’s Sheriff Marty Kelly said the first case occurred about 8,000 days ago. The entire investigative team deployed to the case sought justice for the victim babies.
A year before the Minnesota BCA Crime Lab managed to reveal the identity of the birth father of the baby victims killed in 1999. The lady even denied knowing anything about the case when interviewed in April. But later all the evidence went against Matter and the judge served her 40 years in prison.
