Diego Sebastian Radio was reportedly arrested after stealing more than $10,000 in cash. The American Airlines plane was en route from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Miami when it committed the theft. Flight crew members reportedly told investigators that they observed suspicious behavior from Diego as he paced non-stop up and down the plane elevator during the nine-and-a-half-hour flight. Reports also claim that for quite a while the man sat in a set that did not belong to him at all, and even held a woman’s wallet in his hands. The crew suspected Diego’s behavior and reported him to the officers on the ground.

CBP officers later reported to the flight’s arrival gate at Miami Airport to question the suspect, victims and flight members who witnessed the activities related to the theft. Authorities searched Radio’s backpack and found $10,732 in US currency, as well as $14,320 in Argentine pesos and about $110. Apart from that, they also discovered two cards reportedly in the name of one of the victims. CBP also found the man’s passport folder and his wallet in his pocket.

After interrogation, one of the victims confirmed that approximately $10,022 in US currency and 13,800 Argentine pesos had been taken from their wallets. Another victim stated that her wallet was opened and that her two credit cards and all of the currency were taken. After Diego Sebastian was taken into custody, officers charged him with theft.
