When will the Genesis Scottish Open 2022 take place?

The Scottish Open starts on Thursday 7th July and ends on Sunday 10th July.

It will be the last event of the PGA Tour before the 150th Open Championship in St. Andrews.

The Open, the world’s oldest and most historic golf tournament, is the fourth and final major of the season after The Masters, the PGA Championship and the US Open.

Where will the Genesis Scottish Open 2022 be held?

The Scottish Open will be staged at The Renaissance Club for the fourth consecutive year in 2022.

The course is located in the seaside town of North Berwick, about 20 miles east of Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh.

Previous Scottish Open venues have included Castle Stuart, Gullane and Royal Aberdeen.

Who is taking part in the Genesis Scottish Open 2022?

Several of the world’s top players are known to have used the Scottish Open to warm up for the Open in recent years and 2022 looks no different.

A links course on the east coast of Scotland, it shares some similarities with the historic venue of St Andrews.

There are several big winners among the players confirmed for this year’s Scottish Open.

2021 Open champion Collin Morikawa has been confirmed, as have winners of this year’s three big events – Scottie Scheffler (The Masters), Justin Thomas (PGA Championship) and Matt Fitzpatrick (US Open).

Defending champion Min Woo Lee is also back to repeat his success from the 2021 Scottish Open.

How to watch the Genesis Scottish Open 2022

Sky Sports will broadcast all the action from the 2022 Genesis Scottish Open.

Coverage begins Thursday 7 July at 8am (BST) on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Golf.

Round 2 action starts at the same time on the same channels, while Rounds 3 and 4 kick off at 10:30am on Sky Sports Golf on Saturday and Sunday.
