The final episode of Better Call Saul season six part two has just been released in the US and is coming to the UK soon
The final episode of Better Call Saul Season 6 Part 2 has just landed on Netflix in the US and is coming to the UK soon.
Season six was delayed due to the pandemic delaying production by several months, and when the show’s star Bob Odenkirk suffered a heart attack on set, filming was further halted.
But Odenkitk was back on his feet quickly – filming ended in February and airing of the first half of season six began in April.
62 episodes of Better Call Saul have been released since the series first aired in 2015 and now the final episode of season six, part two, comes to the UK.
But what has happened so far in Season 6, will there be a Season 7 and when will the finale be released in the UK? Here’s everything you need to know:
When is the Better Call Saul season 6 part 2 finale?
The Season 6 finale of Better Call Saul landed on Netflix in the US on August 15. As with all episodes of the show, the season finale comes to the UK a day later.
That means the finale will land on Netflix in the UK on Tuesday 16 August at 8am. The episode will be about an hour long.
The episode, ominously titled Saul Gone, will break up the story of Jimmy McGill and Kim Wexler. Since it’s the season 6 finale, it’s probably going to be a big one
When is Better Call Saul Season 6 Part 2 out?
The second part of season six will air in the UK on July 12, seven weeks after the mid-season finale.
The final part will consist of six episodes, meaning that the sixth season will be 13 episodes in total, while the first five seasons were only 10 episodes.
The first two episodes of season 6 were released at the same time, but we won’t be getting that tidbit again – each episode of season 6, part two, will be released weekly, with the finale arriving on Netflix in the UK on August 15.
What is the plot of the season 6 finale?
Specific details about the finale’s plot have yet to be released, but based on what’s happened so far in season six, there’s plenty to do.
Better Call Saul caught up on the events of Breaking Bad, and in recent episodes everything we saw happened on or after the set of the original show.
Jimmy McGill was last seen having cover when Gene Takovic was busted, and running off alone when police were called to his location.
Kim had confessed her part in Howard Hamlin’s death and awaited the justice that would come her way.
So the season 6 finale has to explain what happens to Jimmy and Kim after their secrets are revealed.
Will there be a Better Call Saul season 7?
No, sadly for fans of the show, Season 6 will be Jimmy McGill and Kim Wexler’s last appearance. After the fifth season aired, it was confirmed that the sixth season would be the last.
The series ends with the grand finale and will hopefully answer some burning questions, not the least of which is: What’s happening to Jimmy?
Showrunner Vince Gilligan said he thinks the Better Call Saul finale will be better than Breaking Bad.
He said: “I think this show is absolutely under Peters [Goould’s] leadership, going to poke the landing.
“It’s going to be great and the Hollywood Reporter and other wonderful journalistic outlets are going to do articles about it, one of which had the better ending, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, and I bet you people are going to say Better Call Saul.”
