Norrie’s opponent in the quarterfinals will be Belgium’s David Goffin.

Despite not being seeded, the 31-year-old has beaten two seeded players so far, beating number 31 Sebastian Baez in the second round and number 23 Frances Tiafoe in the round of 16.

His match against Tiafoe went the distance, but Goffin secured a 3-2 win with a 7-5 win in the final set.

How Did Cameron Norrie Reach Wimbledon Quarterfinals?

Norrie first needed to defeat Pablo Andujar in his opening game, beating the Spaniard in straight sets 6-0, 7-6, 6-3.

He survived a scare against another Spanish player in the second round when Jaume Munar put him at range and led 2-1 after three sets, but Norrie bounced back and won the match 5-3.

His third-round match was another straight-set win as he defeated USA’s Steve Johnson 6-4, 6-1, 6-0 in dominant fashion.

He faced another American in the round of 16 but was able to win again in straight sets when he defeated Tommy Paul 6-4, 7-5, 6-4.

Despite his good form, Norrie is still a long way from winning the men’s singles at Wimbledon this year.

The Brit is priced at 22/1, which is well behind defending champion Novak Djokovic at 4/11.
