The channel has won the rights to show highlights from the Sky Bet Championship, League 1 and League 2.

EFL Highlights return to ITV for the first time in 13 years, replacing the show’s Quest presenters.

ITV have entered into a two-year partnership with the EFL, which also allows them to show highlights from the Carabao Cup and the Papa Johns Trophy.

Each show will feature every goal from every EFL game as well as detailed analysis from a panel of experts. Here we take a look at all the moderators, pundits and commentators we can expect.

When are EFL highlights on TV?

English Football League highlights will be on ITV4 at 9pm. It is repeated on the main ITV channel at 11.15pm and on Sunday at 9.25am.

The highlights can also be streamed via the ITV Hub.

Who will present EFL highlights on ITV in the 2022/23 season?

Colin Murray was a popular host under the old format, but he won’t be involved with the new show.

Hugh Woozencroft and Jules Breach will present ITV’s EFL coverage in the 2022/23 season.

Hugh Woozencroft is best known as a presenter for TalkSport, he was also part of the presenting team for the inaugural Arnold Clark Cup in 2021.

Hugh Woozencroft said: “I am delighted to help bring the EFL closer to ITV Sport audiences and it is a privilege to have the responsibility of covering the EFL in an impactful and entertaining way. The EFL is a unique sporting institution with an incredible history, fantastic clubs and amazing, loyal fans. I’m really excited to bring the season’s coaster to life and can’t wait for the launch next month.”

He is joined by Jules Breach, who holds senior presenting roles for BT Sport, Premier League Productions and CBS. She is also the presenter of Channel 4’s coverage of England games.

Matches are normally shown on Sky Sports Football, but are also shown on Sky Sports Main Event when Premier League football is not running at the same time.
