The 2021 US Open winner and the 23-time Grand Slam champion will face off on the court for the first time when they meet at the Western and Southern Open
British tennis star Emma Raducanu meets legendary Serena Williams for the first time in her career this week.
The 19-year-old will face off against the 23-time Grand Slam champion at the 2022 Cincinnati Masters, also known as the Western & Southern Open, to be played at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Ohio, USA.
Raducanu will be looking to make history at the event by becoming only the second British winner in the history of the competition and the first since Edith Hannam defeated Martha Kinsey in 1909.

When will Emma Raducanu play Serena Williams?
The 2022 Western & Southern Open men’s and women’s tennis tournaments will run from August 15th to August 21st.
The event is a Masters 1000 tournament on the 2022 ATP Tour and a WTA 1000 tournament on the 2022 WTA Tour.
Emma Raducanu vs. Serena Williams is the standout match of the first round and will be played on Tuesday 16th August.
The estimated start time for the game is 7pm Cincinnati, which is midnight in the UK due to BST being five hours ahead.
The match on Center Court ranks fourth after Naomi Osaka v Shuai Zhang, Karolina Pliskova v Venus Williams and Nick Kyrgios v Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. The game does not start before the estimated time.
