Fans of The Office will soon be able to build their own Dunder Mifflin branch.

LEGO will release an impressive set inspired by the US version of the hit sitcom.

It will feature minifigures based on 15 of the show’s main characters, and will also come with tons of accessories to “remind you of those laugh-out-loud moments”.

LEGO first teased the set yesterday (July 14) with a reference to the pilot episode.

The post read, “The thing about a practical joke is you have to know when to stop… too bad we’re just getting started.”

When is the set available for purchase?

It will be released on October 1st, 2022 in countries around the world including the UK and US.

The set will be available exclusively at Walmart in the US and internationally through LEGO Brand Retail.

How many parts are in the set?

The LEGO Ideas The Office set will contain a total of 1,164 pieces.

It also includes 15 minifigures of the main characters: Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute, Jim Halpert, Pam Beesly, Ryan Howard, Angela Martin, Oscar Martinez, Kevin Malone, Stanley Hudson, Kelly Kapoor, Phyllis Lapin Vance, Meredith Palmer, Creed Bratton , Toby Flenderson and Darryl Philbin, plus a LEGO figure of Angela’s cat, Garbage.

There will also be a range of accessories including Jim’s teapot, letter and engagement ring for Pam; Michael’s script for Threat Level Midnight; Dwight’s Hidden Guns; Kevin’s Pot of Chili; and a stapler in gelatin.

Who created the set?

LEGO Ideas gives fans the opportunity to develop their own sets and present them with the potential to be turned into real LEGO sets.

Previous examples include a Starry Night inspired set, the Vincent Van Gogh painting and the McCallister house from Home Alone.

He originally submitted an idea in 2015 and refined his set through iterations submitted in 2019 and 2020 before finally being approved for production.

Jaijai said, “For me, it’s a show I seek solace on. It’s hilarious, relatable and heartwarming.

“I’ve heard from thousands of supporters over the years that they will watch tough moments to lift their spirits.

“In total, I worked on this project for almost seven years. I used behind-the-scenes photos, created blueprints, and looked at the show as a reference for my designs.

“It’s been a lot of fun recreating classic moments from the show over the years. Even after reaching 10,000 votes, I kept adding new features to improve the model.

“One of my biggest changes was rescaling to make the set smaller while keeping as many characters. I’m so grateful to the fans who came out to promote and vote for my latest designs, it really means a lot to me.”
