The Umbrella Corporation is looking for blood.

The new trailer for Netflix resident Evil was released on June 6th and promises tons of zombies, drama and terrifying monsters. And we mean very frightening.

“They said the world would end in 2036,” proclaims a voiceover in the trailer. “But they were wrong. The world ended a long time ago.”

The series, which premieres July 14, alternates between two time periods: 2022, during which Albert Wesker (Lance Reddick) and his daughter Jade (Ella Balinska) move to New Raccoon City and then 2036 as Jade explores a post-apocalyptic London, a notion revealed in a teaser released in May.

The trailer features the controversial Umbrella Corporation, the company run by Albert that manufactures everyday goods as camouflage for biological weapons production, and is trying to fix its image. “Old Umbrella made mistakes,” says a Corporation employee in the trailer. “The things we work on today will change the world.”
