A man has been arrested for stalking and trespassing after allegedly trying to gain entry Taylor Swift‘s apartment in New York City.
According to the New York Police Department Joshua Christian was arrested at 7:20 p.m. on July 1. At the time of his arrest, the 35-year-old is said to have entered two buildings in Swift’s neighborhood within three months.
According to the NYPD, at 11:05 am on March 26, Christian “snuck into an apartment building through an unlocked door and remained there illegally for an undisclosed amount of time.” When he was asked by the security service to leave the house, “Christian fled on foot”.
Less than three months later, Christian allegedly visited another apartment address in the area and made “threats over the intercom” on June 12, according to the NYPD.
Corresponding TMZ, citing law enforcement sources, his comments addressed Swift. A law enforcement source also told the outlet that Christian had threatened violence if she didn’t date him. However, it is unclear if the singer was in the building at the time of the incident.
