Many people have made plans this summer to either fly out on an exotic vacation or visit the coast before the heatwave ends.
Browsing the web in search of a beach outfit that is both practical and flattering can be time consuming, while keeping sustainability in mind it is also important to make purchases that will stay on trend for years to come.
Celebrity fashion stylist Ellis Ranson, who boasts nearly 87,000 followers Instagramshared her advice, explaining that many of this summer’s beachwear trends were inspired by other fashion pieces already on sale.
Ellis said: “It’s time to turn up the heat this summer and there’s no better way than with your outfit. Whether you’re going to the beach or a pool party, it’s time to dress up. I love how effortless beach outfits are, but usually our most planned looks.
“First things first: you need to find your fit with bikinis and make sure you are the right size. Once you figure out if you’re a triangle girl or a bandeau, you can work your outfit around the style.
“I love a combination this season and add some summery colors. Follow the trends of the moment but incorporate them into your beachwear, if you love western trends, opt for something more boho with a cowboy hat. If you’re here for the Y2K trend, opt for some bright colors with chunky sunglasses and layered colorful accessories.
“I like to keep it tonal. If your bikini is red, keep everything in that family, go for a pink or orange or other shade of red.
“Crochet has also made a great comeback and if bucket hats are your thing, definitely try a crochet style one. Less is always more when it comes to your beachwear and don’t overthink or overcomplicate it.”
