Musician Sipho Kaleni died suddenly on August 1, 2022 at the age of 46 from an illness. Although the details are still unclear, Kaleni’s death was officially announced as after a short illness. Since May 2022, Kaleni was “allegedly” ill.

Although Kaleni, a brilliant minister of the word, musician, well-known MC, radio host and devoted member of the SDA church, has shown signs of progress over the past few weeks, he tragically lost the fight in the early hours of August 1st, 2022. Sipho Kaleni, a well-known South African musician who was born on September 21, 1975, had a special interest in Christian music. Kaleni attended Umsobomvu Primary School and Nkumbulo Comprehensive School as a child before graduating from Mbira School of Music and Arts.

In 1998 Kaleni began her career as a producer and recording artist. Later he also studied composition, orchestration and talent scouting. He was then responsible for rating brand new gospel albums for Radio Pulpit.

He later founded Parousia Communications and served as director of Overeth Music Publishing. In addition, Kaleni has been a member of the EXCO of the Crowns Gospel Music Awards since its inception. For a time he was also the radio station manager for Adventist World Radio.
