what’s new

The Wild Update focuses on two types of wildness: adventures in the great outdoors and darker moments in the dark.

There are tall mangrove trees in the updated version of the swamp biome, plus the aforementioned horrific Warden monsters and all sorts of spooky stuff in the new Deep Dark biome.

These mangrove trees are one of the big new additions to the updates, with tendrils hanging from their leaves and large, curving roots.

Mangroves are unique in that they can be grown either on land or in water and as they mature they have a tortuous root foundation under their primary mangrove trunks.

Mangroves will have their own form of wood, and if you chop them down and turn them into mangrove planks, Mojang says you can use them to make mangrove-colored decorations like doors, fences, and other wooden goods, or any other type of wood.

In the mangrove swamp habitat, the floor will also consist of the new clay blocks from Minecraft.

You can craft your own mud blocks by pouring an earth block; Conversely, you can place mud blocks on the new stalactite from the stalactite cave biome to dry it for a renewable source of clay.

One of the update’s new mobs comes in the form of frogs, which, unlike other mobs that have babies that look like tiny adults, actually have tadpoles instead.

They can be transported in a bucket like axolotls, and since there are three species of frogs – swamp, snow and tropical frogs – which depend on the environment they are in, this is useful when relocating tadpoles to a new one Hometown.

Then there’s the Allay, another new mob that’s an adorable blue flying creature that likes to collect items. If you give him a certain item, he will go out and find others that are similar and bring them back to you.

The Deep Dark biome has also been enlarged and looks a lot scarier than before.

Skulk Shrieker blocks emit a scream and cast a darkness effect on the environment; You must flee from them quickly and silently, as the loud noise will surely attract a guard.
