Louise Thompson was diagnosed with PTSD after suffering complications giving birth to her son Leo-Hunter.

The former Made in Chelsea star, 32, explained that due to her health struggles, she even had moments where she forgot she was having a baby.

Since giving birth to her son Leo in December, Louise has regularly shared with her Instagram followers her ongoing battle with post-traumatic stress disorder and perinatal anxiety.

PTSD is an anxiety disorder triggered by very stressful life events such as a serious traffic accident, sexual assault, robbery or childbirth. Perinatal anxiety is a term used to describe the distressing feelings women can experience during pregnancy and possibly up to a year after giving birth.

Speaking to her 1.4million followers recently, Louise said: “Some things are out of my control, some things are under my control.

“Getting up, showering, makeup and dressing are all automated now, for a second I actually forgot I had a baby.

“Does that make me a terrible person?”

Last week, the reality star had fans concerned for her well-being after she shared a photo of herself lying on a hospital bed with her arm hooked up to an IV.

This came just hours after she admitted she was “flowing in and out of consciousness.”

However, she made it home a few hours later for baby Leo’s bath time.

Louise has had serious health issues since giving birth to her son last year and has been “on the limit” lately since changing the dosage of her prescribed medication.

The MIC graduate died twice in labor and now suffers from PTSD. She has been hospitalized multiple times over the past few months. Louise also undergoes therapy and takes medication to ease her anxiety.

After the ordeal, her son Leo-Hunter required care in the NICU while she recovered in the ICU.

Earlier this week, a tearful Louise revealed her darkest moment was when she forgot she even had a baby.

She told her followers that she longs to feel “normal,” rather than feeling like “losing hope and wasting days.”

While posting a plethora of photos of her child, she confessed that at times she felt like she was “drowning and someone threw a child at her.”

Fortescue and Thompson are childhood friends and attended Downe House High School together. Another member of the original Made in Chelsea cast, Rosie stars alongside Louise, Binky and others such as Ollie Locke and Cheska Hull.
