“The outer lane (of 3 lanes) is closed due to a collision and guardrail damage. Delays of 20 minutes on approach, with 3 miles of traffic jam.
“Vehicle recovery takes time.”

National Highways has been warned of 20-minute delays on the M40 due to the incident.
AA Traffic adds: “Six minute delays and increasing delays on the southbound M40 between J8A A418 (Oxford Services / Thame / Aylesbury) and M40 (Oxford / Wheatley). Average speed ten miles an hour.”
