Love Island winners announce plans for road trip show

Love Island winners Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti have announced they will present their own spin-off show, which will see them take road trips to their home countries.

During ‘The Big Breakfast’ on Channel 4 on Saturday (13 August), the couple presented their upcoming project with ITV2, which will see them travel to Italy and Turkey to meet each other’s families and learn about their cultures explore.

The Turkish actress from Essex, 27, and the Italian business owner, also 27, won over Love Island viewers as their fiery relationship unfolded over the eight-week series.

Announcing the news, Sanclimenti told The Big Breakfast show: “We’re going to do a road trip to Italy and Turkey.

“So a week in Italy, a week in Turkey and we’re going to be on ITV2 so it’s going to be like our own programme.”

Culculoglu added viewers will also see them cook for each other and argue passionately, which has become their trademark throughout the ITV dating series.

An ITV spokesman confirmed the news but no further details were given.

After the Love Island final, ITV announced they were the clear winners of the public vote with 63.7%.

Gemma Owen and Luca Bish came second with 14.5%, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope third with 11.8%, and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page fourth with 10.1%.
