Mum-of-three Keita Mullen died at the scene after being struck while crossing the street

The husband of a woman who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident has paid loving tribute to her, saying: “Without you, nothing will be the same.”

Tom Mullen vowed to raise their three young children – ages ten, five and four months – in memory of Keita Mullen, whom he called “immensely talented” and “the best mom”.

Police said Keita, 30, was hit by a car while crossing a road with another pedestrian in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Bawtry area of ​​Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

Mum-of-three Keita Mullen was killed in a hit-and-run accident, and now her husband Tom has paid her a loving tribute.

Emergency services were called to the High Street just after midnight but, despite the efforts of paramedics, she was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

South Yorkshire Police said a motorist failed to stop at the scene but later arrested a 49-year-old woman on suspicion of causing the death by dangerous driving.

They added that the other pedestrian involved in the incident, a 33-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Following news of Keita’s death, Motor Sales Manager Tom called the young mother “beautiful inside and out” and his “best friend.”

He wrote: “Literally my best friend for more than half my life, nothing will ever be the same without you!

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed that Keita had died in the weekend’s tragic clash.

They said: “Just after midnight, emergency services were called to the A638 High Street in Bawtry following reports of a collision.

“It is understood that two pedestrians were crossing the High Street when a vehicle collided with them both. The vehicle did not stop and left the scene of the accident.

“Emergency services were present but despite the best efforts of paramedics, unfortunately Keita was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Her family are being supported by our specially trained officers and have asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.

“The second pedestrian, a 33-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“A 49-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving homicide. She has since been released as part of an investigation.”
