Hodgkinson, who clinched a silver medal in the 800m, was part of a British team that took home seven medals – one gold, one silver and five bronzes.
Hodgkinson ran the season’s best time of 1:56.38 in the final, just missing out on American Athing Mu by a gold medal.
Despite her success, the 20-year-old admitted she was frustrated with the end result. She said: “I’m satisfied but not over the moon. I’m a little disappointed to miss gold by 0.08 which is a tiny margin I’ve worked so hard to complete but I’ll take the positives.”
