Iggy Azalea confirms return to music after brief hiatus

Iggy Azalea has announced her comeback to the music industry after claiming she’s been on hiatus for a number of years.

The Australian rapper, 32, took to Twitter to share the news with her fans, explaining that she’s quit music because of the “negative energy” she attracts.

“A year ago I was ready to quit music because I was tired of the negative energy it attracts,” Iggy wrote.

“But what I’ve learned is that even when I’m minding my own business, you’re all negative AND curious.”

“So if I can’t have peace, neither can you. I come back. cry about it.”

She added: “I’m not going to talk about dates, direction or anything, I just know it’s happening and there will be a budget.”

Azalea announced she would be retiring from music in July 2021, saying she wanted to focus on “other creative projects.”
