Harry and Meghan warned about mountain lion spotted near their home

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who live in a £12.1million mansion with their children Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, are just five miles from where the wild animal was killed on March 23. July was captured by a surveillance camera.

Since the couple have chickens and two rescue dogs, they are called upon to secure their Montecito home and any animals that may be at risk from an attack.

While mountain lions are not considered a major threat to humans, there have been several attacks this summer.

Among them was a young girl who had been injured playing hide-and-seek in Washington.

Locals believe the predator was in search of food and drink due to the drought they are experiencing.

Sharon Byrne is executive director of the Montecito Association, which also includes Harry, 37, and Meghan, 41.

Speak with The sunSharon said, “This part of Montecito is a very rural, very mountainous area, the kind of habitat for mountain lions.

“There’s a drought here in California, so he or she was probably looking for water and whatever food could be found, so it’s going where people live.

“Chickens can be a quick and easy source of food for hunting animals, so they need to be safe and secure…Mountain lions are loners and ultimately don’t want to be around humans, so we’re hoping it will continue on its own.”

Although no longer classified as a working royal, Prince Harry is the youngest son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana and younger brother of Prince William. He was born Henry Charles Albert David in 1984 at St Mary’s Hospital in London.

Harry and Meghan are among the locals urged to protect their homes from a possible attack and as they have young children safety is of the utmost importance.

Harry spoke to him Today’s show about his everyday life and his parenthood.

He said: “[My daily routine] revolves around the children as much as possible. All this working from home isn’t all that matters, certainly post Covid.

“Because it’s really hard when you and your kids are in the same place. It’s really hard to separate the work from them because they kind of overlap. So I mean, Archie spends more time interrupting our Zoom calls than anyone. But he also gets us away from them, so that’s nice.”

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry have maintained a close relationship despite the recent turmoil of his departure from royal life – notably, Harry’s youngest child is named after his grandmother and they have been known to often video call each other.

The father and son have cared for each other since Diana’s death, until Charles stepped in to walk Meghan down the aisle at her wedding because her father would not be there.

The row between Harry and Prince Charles began at Sandringham Summit when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to step back from royal duties. Harry said in an interview with Oprah that he felt “really let down by his father.”

As their youngest son, Harry and Diana had a special bond that lasted after their death at the age of 12.

Harry and Meghan were set up on a blind date in Soho by a mutual friend in July 2016 and their relationship went from “0 to 60” in a few months.

However, the media did not report that the two were dating until October 2016, and in November the palace confirmed the relationship.

Harry proposed to Meghan a year after the palace announcement and they married in May 2018.

The two met in Cape Town while Harry was on a gap year and continued an on-off relationship from 2004 to 2011.

Davy attended the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding as Harry’s plus-one in 2011 and revealed they will always remain good friends despite their split.
