The former White House intern brought up the Partition lyrics after it was revealed Beyoncé would be moving to her song Heated amid controversy over the use of ableistic slurs

Amid the news that the song is titled Heatedwhich would be edited upon release, Monica Lewinsky took to Twitter to request that another song by the singer be changed “while she was at it.”

Who is Monika Lewinsky?

The Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, as it became known, happened in 1998 when Lewinsky was 24 and Clinton was 52, following their relationship between 1995 and 1997.

said Levinsky Linda Tripp, an American official, about her relationship with Clinton, and Tripp told Lewinsky to keep things Clinton gave her. Tripp also convinced Lewinsky to keep a semen-stained blue dress and not have it dry-cleaned.

In 1997, Tripp began recording her phone conversations with Lewinsky. Under the tutelage of literary agent Luciane Goldberg, Tripp took the tapes to independent attorney Kenneth Starr and to those working on the Paula Jones case, a separate case in which Jones was suing Clinton for sexual harassment.

Before handing over the tapes, Tripp discovered an affidavit in the Paula Jones case in which Lewinsky denied her relationship with Clinton. Clinton also denied the relationship with Lewinsky when asked under oath about other workplace relationships.

The story of the affair came to light on January 17, 1998, and a few days later, on January 26, Clinton denied the story in a live televised address while standing next to his wife, Hillary Clinton.

He said: “I want you to listen to me. I will say it again: I have not had sexual relations with this woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anyone to lie, not once; never. These claims are false.”

In July of that year, Lewinsky testified before a grand jury about her relationship with Clinton. She also gave the blue dress to Starr investigators, and the FBI DNA matched the Clinton seed.

In testimony before the grand jury in August 1998, Clinton admitted to having engaged in an “inappropriate relationship” with Lewinsky. Later that same day, he also made another television statement admitting to the affair.

While Clinton was being ousted over the Jones lawsuit, he had denied any sexual relationship with Lewinsky — but based on the evidence that later arrived, Starr was able to conclude that the president’s affidavit was false and perjury.

In December of that year, the House of Representatives granted Clinton two impeachment trials after allegations that his false testimony and alleged interference with Lewinsky’s testimony were crimes of perjury and obstruction of justice, both criminal offenses.

Clinton was eventually acquitted of both charges and remained in office until George Bush won the 2000 presidential election.

“Thanks Beyoncé, but if we put words, I think you meant ‘Bill Clinton has it all on my dress’, not ‘Monica Lewinsky has.'”

After announcing that Beyoncé would remove offensive lyrics from her song Heatedfrom their latest record RenaissanceLewinsky took to Twitter to ask if the singer would mind editing another song.

Lewinksy cites a Variety article on the Heated Edited text, adding, “Uhmm, while we’re at it… #Partition.”

Reaction to Lewinsky’s tweet was mixed, with some sympathizing with her and others telling her to “get over it.”

One person tweeted: “I need Monica Lewinsky to get over the fact that her legacy will forever surpass the President and save a sperm stained dress. She made decisions and decisions have consequences.”

In response to Lewinsky’s tweet, another person wrote: “Monica Mädchen be realistic…You’re saying that Beyoncé should remove a line from her song that came out 9 years ago??? And why are you only talking about Beyoncé, there were enough other artists who were more disrespectful. Beyoncé’s line wasn’t even bad. So calm down.”

On the other hand, one person tweeted: “Monica Lewinsky was manipulated and sexually assaulted by THE President of the United States at the age of 24, and Beyoncé fans, who are self-proclaimed feminists, are telling her to because of her casual reference to her ordeal.” shut up .”
