Did the singer change his pronouns?
Lovato didn’t change her pronouns, the singer still identifies as her and her, they just decided to reuse her and her as well.
In an interview with The Spout Podcast, Lovato told Tamara Dhia that they’ve been “feeling more feminine” over the past few months.
They explained, “I’m such a fluid person when it comes to my gender, my sexuality, my music, my creativity.
“I actually took the pronouns back from ‘she/her’.
“Especially last year, my energy was balanced in my masculine and feminine energies, so when I was given the choice to walk into a bathroom and say ‘women’ and ‘men’, I didn’t feel like it was a bathroom for me because I didn’t necessarily feel like a woman. I didn’t feel like a man. I just felt human.”
“Lately I’ve been feeling more feminine and have adopted ‘her/her’ again. But I think what’s important is that nobody’s perfect.
“Everyone gets pronouns mixed up at some point, especially when people are studying. It’s all about respect.”
Lovato came out as non-binary in a video posted on social media in May 2021.
The singer explained to fans at the time that they had “done some healing and self-reflective work” and had the “revelation that I identify as non-binary” and she/they would use pronouns.
What are Demi Lovato’s pronouns?
Lovato updated her pronouns on her Instagram bio to read “she/her, her/her” in April 2022.
The change went unnoticed until the podcast interview was released this week.
It was falsely reported by the media that the singer no longer walks past them and them.
Podcast interviewer Dhia took to Twitter to correct the narrative of the singer “giving up her/them as her pronouns”.
Telling the media that “it’s important to get this right” and that “she just said she’s going to add her/them”.
When is your new album coming out?
Lovato will release her eighth studio album Holy Fvck on August 19th.
The album cover is reminiscent of Maddona’s screenplay, in which the singer poses on a cross-shaped bed.
In an interview with The Spout, reflecting on the upcoming album, Lovato said, “There are a lot of songs on this album that are sexually empowered.
“There are also songs with religious undertones [them]and lying like that on a bed shaped like a cross, I found something fitting the title of the album.
“For example, I have a song called Heaven that’s based on a Bible verse, but it’s actually about masturbation.”
