The Gunners head to Selhurst Park on Friday night to officially lift the curtain on English football’s latest top-flight campaign.
Both teams have been active in the summer transfer window and are targeting improved placements in 2021/22, where the Eagles finished 12th, just three points behind the top half, and the Gunners narrowly missed out on Champions League football with a fifth-place finish.

When will Crystal Palace kick off against Arsenal?
The first game of the 2022/23 Premier League season starts on Friday 5 August 2022 at 8pm (BST).
Selhurst Park is home to Crystal Palace hosts Arsenal.
Last season, Palace won 3-0 at their home ground when the sides met in April and also left the Emirates by a point after a 2-2 draw in October 2021.
The season will start earlier than usual due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar this winter, which will see domestic football around the world enter a winter break.

Sky Sports will broadcast the game live on Friday night.
Program starts at 18:30 (BST), a full 90 minutes before kick-off, allowing for plenty of preparation, and will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event (channel 401) and Sky Sports Premier League (channel 402).
