Will Less Dennis replace Colin Murray at Countdown?
Les Dennis has been chosen to replace Colin Murray, the current presenter of Countdown, for two weeks in August.
Murray is a Northern Ireland presenter who was replaced by Anne Robinson in July this year after moving out of a pay dispute.
Murray was set to host Countdown until at least November 2022 but tested positive for Covid-19 during filming and had to step aside for two weeks.
Dennis will therefore be Murray’s temporary replacement, hosting the show for ten episodes from August 4th to 15th.
After announcing that Dennis would step in, he said it was “such an honor” to have been selected.

The couple split in 2000 when Holden was having an affair with Men Behaving Badly actor Neil Morrissey. They briefly rekindled their relationship, but announced a permanent separation in 2002 and divorced the following year.
