Come and eat with me: the pros

The professional version of the show follows a similar premise to previous incarnations, except that the contestants will be experienced chefs instead of amateur chefs, and the food will be served at their restaurant rather than at their homes.

The prize also remains the same as the winning chef will take home £1,000, but the positive press his restaurant could receive if he wins could be worth more than any cash prize in the long run.

How does Come Dine with Me: The Professionals work?

In each episode, three professional couples cook up a three-course meal for each other and provide lively entertainment before being given 20 points by their competitors for their efforts.

After each night, contestants secretly rate each other, and the couple with the highest score after all three dinner parties is crowned the winner.

The scathing Dave Lamb, who provided some scathing voiceovers from the original series, is back on board to commentate on the professional version of the show.

No doubt he’ll have some scathing comments in store for any of the pros who miss the mark.
