Chris Eubank will be appearing on BBC One’s Celebrity Masterchef from Wednesday 10th August
While Chris’ skills in the ring have been unmatched with 45 career wins, the former world boxing champion believes he can take out his 19 rival chefs after putting his cooking skills to the test.
The ex-boxer will compete against the likes of McFly’s Danny Jones, Love Island’s Faye Winter, Chucklevision’s Paul Chuckle and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon.
In conversation with radio timesChris has revealed he thinks the quality of his cooking is exemplary, with a dish that “blew even my mind”.
Chris said: “My kitchen, there are no words. In the show I cook a simple dish. It actually blows my mind – the proof is in the food and I remember Gregg saying, ‘I can’t train you, but this is really good.
“This is a very basic food that I’ve been told most people don’t like until they obviously taste mine.”
Gregg Wallace and John Torode return as judges on the celebrity cooking show, which airs on BBC One from Wednesday 10 August at 8pm.
Strict dancer Katya Jones, ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard and Coronation Street’s Ryan Thomas will also take part in the 17th series.
Chris added that he used his skills to coach the judges and his competitors: “It’s almost like I have to teach them what the relationship is between the chef and the food – they had no idea how to do it Food and food loves process – the difference to my food is the love that goes into it.
“When I cook, whether my wife is there or not, it’s like going on a date. I dim the light…I float in it. Let me tell you, any woman would die to be in this kitchen.”
