Filming for the sixth season began in March 2021 but was delayed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and because Odenkirk suffered a heart attack during filming.

Finally, filming was able to resume and wrap up in February 2022, just two months before the first episodes landed on Netflix.

The Crossroads Motel

It was nicknamed the “Crystal Palace Hotel” by DEA agent Hank Schrader in “Breaking Bad” because of the many drug addicts who frequent the place. The Crossroads will also appear in Better Call Saul Season 6.

Cottonwood Mall

Scenes filmed at the Albuquerque mall are actually set in Nebraska. These black and white scenes are flashforwards to Jimmy living as Gene Takovic and working at a Cinnabon in Omaha after the events of Breaking Bad.

Duke City sports bar

The newly opened sports bar was the location of Saul Goodman’s strip club, which became an office in Breaking Bad, as well as Better Call Saul. The only part of the set still in use is the door, which the bar’s owners wanted to keep and still reads “Saul Goodman Attorney at Law”.
