Girl in room 13an upcoming Lifetime movie starring Anne Hecheis expected to make its debut next month after it was revealed the actress “won’t survive” the serious car accident that left her in a coma.
Heche suffered a “severe anoxic brain injury” and is in a critical condition in a coma as a result of the incident last Friday (5 August).
A statement from her family said: “It has long been her decision to donate her organs and she is being kept alive to determine if any are viable.”
Girl in room 13 is a film about the dark underworld of the multi-billion dollar human trafficking industry, starring Larissa Dias (When the heart calls, Supernatural Academy), Max Montesi (The 100 Holy Lies) and Matt Hamilton (Turner & Hooch, Supernatural) next to Heche.
When will it be released?
That has been confirmed Girl in room 13an upcoming film starring Heche, will debut in September after Heche’s accident.
During a Television Critics Association press conference on Thursday (Aug. 11), Lifetime presented a panel for the film, which was originally slated to feature Heche.
Amy Winter, Executive Vice President and Program Director, said on the panel, “As many of you are aware, Anne remains in critical condition.
“All of us here at Lifetime are deeply concerned for her and everyone affected. We hope her friends and family stay strong during this difficult time.
“You know as much as we do and we kindly ask you not to inquire about your health. This project is important to Anne, as is each and every one of us.
“We all started making a film to draw attention to the appalling problem of human trafficking for sex. We hope this film moves you and that you are just as inspired as Anne to help us in our mission to end violence against women.”
Director Elisabeth Rohm said: “We are all so committed to the cause of stopping violence against women and once again I thank Lifetime so much for creating this platform.
“All of us, especially Larissa [Dias] who played this sacrifice are committed to this cause.
“We’ve talked about it – every single one of us – that this is our mission. And although [Heche] I miss her deeply, at the moment I have to say that the film is finished and she gave a phenomenal performance – a tour de force, similar to Larissa.
What other films and TV shows has she starred in?
Throughout her career, Heche has starred in a number of films and TV shows from which you may recognize her.
She portrayed twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love on the American soap Another world from 1987 to 1991, which earned her a Daytime Emmy Award.
In the late 90’s, Heche gained popularity with her performances in films such as Donnie Brasco (1997), volcano (1997), I know what you did last summer (1997), Six days, seven nights (1998) and Return to Paradise (1998).
Heche was nominated for a Saturn Award for her performance in the 1998 remake of the Alfred Hitchock classic Psychowhere she is alongside Vince Vaughn (Wedding crasher, true detective), Julianne Moore (Lisey’s story, still Alice), Viggo Mortensen (Thirteen LivesCaptain Fantastic) and William H Macy (Shameless, Fargo).
From then on she starred in a number of independent films such as birth (2004), Spread (2009), Cedar Rapids (2011), wall (2011) and cat fight (2016), which also occurred kill Eve Star Sandra Oh (To redden, The chair).
Aside from films, Heche has also starred in a variety of television shows including Everwood, Nip/Tuck, Men in Trees, Michael J. Fox Show, Aftermath, The Brave, Chicago PD and All rise.
She lent her voice to the character of Cherry Cream Soda adventure time and Suyin Beifond in The Legend of Korra.
In 2020, Heche participated in season 29 of Dancing with the starswhere she worked with professional dancer Keo Motsepe, but the couple became the third couple to be eliminated.
In 2001, Heche published a book entitled Call Me Crazy: A Memoir by Simon & Schuster.
