What did Alex Jones say about Nancy Dell’Olio?

The Welsh mother-of-three interviewed Celebrity MasterChef contestant Nancy Dell’Olio about her upcoming appearance on the show via video link on Tuesday’s The One Show on BBC One (26 July).

The presenter first said: “You have Italian roots so I think you’ll channel some Nigella cuisine, you’ll be amazing. I’m right?”

Clearly not wanting to give much away, Dell’Olio advised Jones and viewers to check out the show.

She said, “Well, you have to see and see.”

However, Jones continued to question – and appeared to question Dell’Olio’s cooking skills.

She said, “Are you good at cooking Nancy, I suppose you get a lot of takeout?”

Perhaps trying to soften her question, she added, “I mean, I don’t know, but I’m imagining it.”

Dell’Olio admitted cooking isn’t “high on her list.”

She said: “Well I think that comes with the imagination of being Italian and being from the south, but then I spend a lot of time between America and London – so let’s say it’s not the best room in the house.

“For me, cooking is not at the top of my list.”

What did your co-host Jermaine Jenas say?

Jones’ co-host Jermaine Jenas immediately responded to her cheeky question.

“Only you can get away with that, you know,” he told her.

The audience then started laughing.

He echoed Jones’ question to her, adding: “I suspect you’re getting a lot of takeaways. Nobody else can get away with it.”

Jones defended himself, saying, “We all thought so and someone has to say it.”

Dell’Olio’s connection to the studio was probably weakened at this point because she seemed a little confused by what was being said and asked, “Did I say something wrong?”

Jenas reassured her and referred to Jones by a nickname, saying, “No, no, you were spot on. Just typical Jonesy.”

Who is Alex Jones and who is her husband?

Alex Jones, whose full name is Charlotte Alexandra Jones, is a Welsh television presenter.

The 45-year-old is best known for being a co-host of BBC One magazine show The One Show.

She is married to insurance broker Charlie Thomson, who mainly chooses to stay out of the public eye.

Jones met her future husband, who is originally from New Zealand, at a party in 2011 and the couple married in 2015.

The couple are parents of three children; two boys born in 2017 and 2019 and one girl born in 2021.

According to her, Jones’ married name Instagram pageis Alex Jones Thomson, but continues to use her maiden name in professional life.

Jones’ appearance on The One Show on Tuesday, July 26, hours after she posted on her Instagram that she was going through a “difficult” and “challenging” time.

Her post reads: “Things have been a bit difficult for us lately and to be honest I haven’t had time to be here between work and the kids but I happened to log on and saw all your lovely messages, in which you gently asked if we do everything ok.

“I was touched by your kindness and just wanted to reach out and say thank you. Even if life has been a bit challenging we are fine and we can still enjoy the start of the holidays and there is still a lot to laugh about. “

Who is Jermaine Jenas?

Jermaine Anthony Jenas, 39 years old, is a television presenter, soccer pundit and former professional soccer player.

He played as a central midfielder for English clubs Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers, scoring a total of 39 goals in 341 league games during his career.

He also played 21 times for the England senior team, scoring one goal. An injury forced him to retire in 2014.

He began working as a pundit for the BBC on Match of the Day and BT Sport before retiring and has held those roles ever since.

Nancy Dell’Olio, 60, is an Italian-American lawyer and media personality.

The former WAG first came to public attention as the girlfriend of football manager Sven-Göran Eriksson. The couple started dating in 1998 but split in 2007.

Dell’Olio is Chair of Truce International, the UK-based charity she co-founded with Eriksson, which aims to use football as a tool to unite people in war zones.

Dell’Olio will be on our screens in the kitchen of Celebrity MasterChef this August, taking on former professional boxer Chris Eubank and singer Danny Jones.
