Many of Adele‘s fans haven’t made it easy for her this year.
After making the difficult decision to reschedule her much-anticipated visit to Las Vegas in January, the “Hello” singer is sticking to her choice despite feeling “devastated.”
“I definitely felt everyone’s disappointment and was scared of letting them down,” she said BBC Radio 4 Desert Island Discs on July 2nd. “I thought I could pull it together and make it work, but I couldn’t and I stand by that decision.”
Adele explained that the decision was made to protect the show’s integrity, regardless of the financial consequences.
“I’m not going to do a show just because I have to or because people will be disappointed or because we’re going to lose a lot of money,” she continued. “I think the show isn’t good enough.”
While the 34-year-old remains hopeful about scrapping the dates, she admitted the reaction from fans was “brutal”.
